Artistic Review - Photographer's Website

                                      Bryan Farley dot com

Photography in it's own way is a form of art. Like artists, photographers have an artistic view of the world in which they capture that once in a life time moment with one shot of the camera because that is their artistic tool much like how an artists tools include the paint brush and a pencil. A photographer is also like a writer, they have some sort of a message to convey to their viewers about something but not using words, they use images that they have captured. Bryan Farley, a photography teacher at Pittsburg Senior, present a portfolio containing a variety of photographs of different subjects. I like his photos because the capture those simple moments in everyday life and those once in a life time moments but I believe that the way he presents his photos in blog could be better.

Bryan Farley's photos convey a variety of subjects such as sports, special occasions, culture, music, nature, etc. I personally like the tennis and seeing kids play the sport since it's not a widely played sport like football and basketball. I also enjoy the nature pictures because these are scenes that aren't available to the city folk or they just don't pay much attention to it. It's nice to see nature rather than the usual expanding urban and suburban scenery.

Although the photos are great, the display and theme of the blog could be better in order to display the photos. The blog is plain and doesn't display much originality besides the photographs themselves. Perhaps changing the theme and back ground would make the blog more attractive and eye catching. Overall the blog is good but it could be better if the theme were to change and the structure of the blog were to change as well.

Cropping for Better composition Part 2

Before

After
The cropped photo illustrates the texture rule of composition because it shows the texture of the pillar in the background. It also shows the texture of the subjects hair, necklace, lip piercing, her dimples, and her shirt along with her eyebrows and skin.

Cropping for Better Composition-Advanced Photo

The cropped photo illustrates the lines rule of composition because of theBlue and pink lines on the plastic in the background along with the beam in the background and the arm of the little girl in the front would also count as a line.

Composition

Fill in the Frame

Fill in the frame is when the whole frame of the photo is filled with the image and that there is little to no empty space. We chose this composition because it was one that we randomly picked and it's one that we haven't really done before so we were interested in trying to employ this composition to our photography.

Canon Rebel T3i Review

  1. 18 megapixel CMOS digital sensor and the DIGIC 4 processor
  2. continuous shooting speed of 3.7 frames per second
  3. menu layout and ease of use in navigating between settings
  4. interchangeable lenses
  5. High IOS performance
  6. Full HD video
  7. Better quality and high resolution image
Many of those who reviewed this camera are mostly happy with their purchase and would recommend it to others. Considering these facts this looks like a camera that I would enjoy using and would be happy with the the high resolution images. Although the only negative aspect about this camera is the short battery life.
